Week Five Matchups
by Reggie Truitt
posted on October 6, 2004 4:24 pm

Well the honeymoon is over in Fantasy Football this year, as we enter the middle of the season. RRT CASINOS has thrown together a 4 game special to help get you through the fifth week of football action. Take advantage of our Parlay Options to increase your betting pleasures and wallet.

GAME 1: Running Mad 1-3 vs. Defending Champs 0-4

Lets start off with the Cellar Dwellars; RRT CASINOS is proud of the fact that they are an equal opportunity gambler, and this game proves it.

Running Mad is going to get hit HARD this week, not against his opponent, not by his wife, not by his girlfriend, and not by his kids. But, by Paul Taglibue and the NFL. Thats right its time for the BYE week fucking. Both QB's currently on his roster are on Byes; Green and Palmer. He is losing a starting Wideout in Pinkston and a starting Running Back in Westbrook thanks to the Philadelphia Bye. Also, Mad will be losing his starting kicker this week; S. Graham.

As you can imagine Mad has a lot of holes to fill in the lineup and his wide recievers will not be enough to carry him through the week. Also who knows what kind of Fantasy points to expect from Zereoue and Moe Williams in the backfield.

The Champs are liking their chances this week against the depleted opponent. However, starting a backup QB in Rothlisberger may raise a few concerns. Why a backup? McNabb is taking the week off as well. DC hopes to get a big week from his backfield in 600521 aka J. Lewis and Faulk. The 'ol coach has a decision to make in the receiving corp as R. Caldwell is begging for some playing time in front of Hymes or McCareins. But, the guarantee winner for the Champs this week is his mighty New England defense facing the hapless Dolphins.

GAME 2: Banger9 2-2 vs. MILF Divers 2-2

Will the slide continue for Banger after beginning the year 2-0? Yes, since losing to the Turds banger is going to continue his streak of losses. MILF is hoping to stay above .500 and keep the reputation off his back as a lower tier team. Getting Moss back this week will certainly help, and getting a couple of Running Backs (Bennett, and K. Jones) back would help as well.

Banger Boyd has his hands full this week thanks to the formentioned BYE week fucking. Neither Terrell Owens, Priest Holmes, Eddie Kennison, or the Eagles Defense will be suiting up this weekend. Throw on an injury to Todd Heap and Banger Boyd is slamming controllers. As of press time Banger is without a defense and a second Running Back. Tom Brady and friends (Toomer, Muhammad, C. Bradford) have no chance of carrying this team to a victory.

MILF on the other hand is only losing a "I should be in the World League" receiver in Justin Gage due to the BYE week. MILF would like to see a few guys get healthy to add depth in the backfield. As mentioned K. Jones and M. Bennett are both expected to miss a couple of weeks to leg injuries. However, MILF should still be able to pull out a close one with Bulger, Fred Taylor, S. Jackson, J. Walker, Q. Morgan, and Moss in the lineup.

Expect a low scoring affair between these two girls softball teams.

GAME 3: Robintucky Raiders 2-2 vs. Turd Fergusson 4-0

Will the Turd continue the run? Or will he finally be flushed by the Raiders? We expect to see a classic battle this week between these two teams, with some very intriguing match ups. With the possibility of both teams playing backup QB's or having both starters play against each other on Monday night. Also, both teams are nearly unscaved by the BYE week and both teams are relatively healthy.

Lets start with the Raiders. Will McNair play, is the question of the week at camp Robintucky. The Raiders might be better off playing Collins against the Colts than risking the points of a non-start with McNair. The Raiders do get their fantasy stud back in Alexander and hopes to get another solid week from his receiving corp.

Now to team Fergusson. Is Farve all right? Is the question of the week at camp Toilet Bowl. If not a change at quarterback to Warner is a possiblility. Like the Turd cares, he has the best 3 man combo in the league at running back. Turd is currently starting Foster and Portis in the backfield; while Henry waits for his chance on the bench. Also, a surprisingly good receiving bunch will put up solid fantasy points for Turd. Expect above average performances from Bruce, Moulds, and Stokley. And when Santana Moss is on the bench you know; "turd is good."

We expect this game to be real close, but we have to stay conservative and pick the undefeated team.

GAME 4: Mr. Natalie Portman 4-0 vs. Meat Helmets 3-1

Finally, the game of the week. And finally another huge game at the top of the standings. The last huge game at the top against Banger and Turd sent Banger on a downward spiral. Will the same happen to this weeks loser? We love this matchup; And this is a must see on Sunday. Portman hopes to continue his league dominance as he predicted, but he may have his hands full. Full of Dick Head --badda bing--
Will he come out of the matchup 5-0? The casino doesn't think so. Will he gradually fade from the top? The Casino doesn't think so.

Portman is faced with the challenge of replacing all world Tight End Tony Gonzalez and starting RB, Jones from Chitown. Portman has decided to go with Alexander from Detroit as his TE. Who? I don't know. And he may well replace Jones with Emmitt Smith, who is matching up against the Stanford Niners this week. He also has Dunn or Staley to use in the backfield. Portman will rely on Culpepper and his outstanding receivers to pull out the week. Not to mention he probably likes his Atlanta defense playing a turnover waiting to happen offense like Detroit. But, will it be enough?

The Meat Helmets coach is really feeling good about his Fantasy Life right now. And confidence can take you a long way in this game. Right back to the website at work. Meat is losing R. Johnson (RB) and D. Terrell (WR) thanks to the BYE, but he will cope. Meat has two other capable backs even after replacing Johnson. Chris Brown and Barber will see plenty of carries. W. Green will stay on the bench while splitting carries in Cleveland. With Marvin Harrison and Koren Robinson split-out wide team Meat hopes to get good production. Also, expect good things from the Steelers defense as they play Cleveland at home this weekend.

One piece of free advice for Meat; START Delhomme!
