II Bowl II
It's finally here, the second installment of the II Bowl. Brady Boyd and his BANGER9 1/2 club has number from the lower tier of the standings all the way to the big show. Ryan Woods and his bunch, Mr. Natalie Portman, has hung right in the middle of the pack all year. Enjoy the game!
Week Sixteen Power Rankings
We've reached our final week. We're down to the big game and although the two teams playing for it all are not on top of the PR numbers, that are nearly equal. According to the numbers, BANGER9 1/2 is favored by 1.68 over Mr. Natalie Portman. As always, the full rankings can be found on the power rankings page.
Week Fifteen Power Rankings
Round one is in the book and four teams remain standing for the big prize. Although we're down to four possible winners, all eight teams are still in the playoffs. The week fifteen power rankings include all eight teams. The two top teams are sitting in the consolation bracket while the third, fourth, fifth and seventh ranked teams battle it out. Find the full list on the power rankings page.
Round One Matchups
After taking a vacation last week, Casino mogul is back with round one lines. Current account balances: C. Thurman (DOWN $1), J. Parker (UP $16), J. Holubiak (UP $1), Ra. Reynolds (DOWN $11), Ry. Reynolds (DOWN $9), R. Woods (UP $1). Full article available on the columns page.
Week Fourteen Power Rankings
The league is getting a little lighter, and the power rankings show it. Just eight teams remain as we enter the 2005 playoffs. Not much changing in the rankings, although Tyrannical Teabaggers take a jump over round one foe BANGER9 1/2 and My Brain Hurts! jumps four spots to number eight by default. Full rankings can be found on the power rankings page.
Regular Season Over
Congratulations to Eric Smith who squeaked out Ryan Reynolds for the IIFFL 2005 regular season champion. Eight teams are moving on to the post season and four are going home. The playoffs games start this week with (1) Running Mad vs. (8) TurkeyCreek_Nate, (4) BANGER9 1/2 vs. (5) Tyrannical Teabaggers, (3) The Cosby Sweaters vs. (6) Mr. Natalie Portman, (2) 0!nkp!g$ vs. (7) My Brain Hurts!.
December Brings Us the Last Regular Season Week
We're getting ready to say goodbye to 1/3 of our league after Monday. Week 13 is not only the last week of the regular season, it's the final week of "Revenge Week". Way back in week two, 0!nkp!g$ downed Oral Master by 8.54, My Brain Hurts! thumped TurkeyCreek_Nate by 11.87, Mr. Natalie Portman laid BANGER9 1/2 out by 15.57, Mud Whistles beat The Cosby Sweaters by the tune of 17.56, and Tyrannical Teabaggers sacked Turd Fergusson by 36.49. We have some meaningful games in Week 13 that will decided who wins the big cash, who makes it to the post season, and who goes home.
Week Thirteen Power Rankings
Week thirteen marks our last full twelve team power rankings list. We will just see the top eight playoff teams in next weeks list. The PR list barely moved this week. Just the bottom two spots traded and that's it. View the list on the power rankings page.
Week Twelve Matchups
Due to the short week, the casino has posted an abbreviated article with some bonus turkey time lines. Check out the week twelve matchups on the columns page.
Short Week
Week twelve is upon us, which is Thanksgiving week. That means that this is a short week and two games will be featured on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. The first game will be Atlanta at Detroit with Denver at Dallas later in the day. Be sure to get your lineups set in time for those games.
Week Twelve Power Rankings
Week twelve power rankings have been posted. Despite his fall down the standings, Running Mad still sits on top of the PR list. On the flip side, Reggie Truitt's bad luck has sunk him down to the bottom for the third time this year.
Week Eleven Matchups
The Casino is at it again. Week eleven brings us a couple lopsided matchups with lopsided lines, a few lines that are just a touchdown difference, and one really nice mathup that puts two (7-3-0) teams at each other where the winner will have a huge boost into the regular season money action. Current account balances: C. Thurman (Even), J. Parker (UP $19), J. Holubiak (DOWN $1), Ra. Reynolds (DOWN $11), Ry. Reynolds (DOWN $3), R. Woods (UP $1). Full article available on the columns page.
Deadline Past
November 18 is upon us and not a single deal was struck. Looks like everyone is fairly comfortable with the lineups they bring in to the latter of the 2005 IIFFL season. Just six weeks of fantasy football action are left.
Buyers or Sellers Market?
What kind of market are we going to see with the IIFFL trade deadline nearing? Will we have a buyers, sellers, or no market. Ten weeks in and two weeks left, we have a lot of teams that can make a run for the final playoff spots. (5-5-0) My Brain Hurts! sits a game ahead of most of the pack but he has dropped four straight. Sitting in the last two post season spots are (4-6-0) Tyrannical Teabaggers and Oral Master with two other (4-6-0) teams TurkeyCreek_Nate and Robintucky Raiders. Not too far behind, (3-7-0) Mud Whistles and Turd Fergusson have an outside shot. It took six wins to make the post season last year. With so many teams at (4-6-0) we may see a lower record sneak into the playoffs this year. Who's buying? Who's selling? Time is ticking!
Twelve and Thirteen -- "Revenge Weeks"
We're nearing the final two weeks of the regular season. Just like last year, these two weeks will be our week of rematches from week one and two. In week one action this year: 0!nkp!g$ topped My Brain Hurts! by 17.34 points, Oral Master defeated Robintucky Raiders by 34.50, Running Mad outran BANGER9 1/2 by 11.39, Mr. Natalie Portman took down The Cosby Sweaters by 14.77, Mud Whistles cleaned up on the Tyrannical Teabaggers by 19.93, and TurkeyCreek_Nate pinched on off over Turd Fergusson by 2.71.
Week Eleven Power Rankings
Week eleven power rankings are now available. TurkeyCreek_Nate is making a run for the playoffs and his PR numbers show that. My Brain Hurts! needs to dig himself out of the hole he currently resides in if he intends to be in the post season.

All ten returning teams are registered as well as one new expansion team. The final spot is left for the second expansion team for the 2005 season.
League Close To Full
Brad Boyd appears to have reached second base with someone in the last year. BANGER9 is back, but this year they're BANGER9 1/2. The BANGERS have their sight set on the post season this year after narrowly missing the cut in 2004.
Just Three Spots Left
2004 powerhouse, The Cosby Sweaters are back for more. Rudy Huxtable plans to make the 2005 season an even bigger success.
Vacation
I will be out of town this weekend and the entire next week. I will have my notebook with me and do have internet access at my hotel. I should be able to make any changes that need to be made while the remaining spots are filled. Really, it should be business as usual while I'm away.
Four Spots Left After The Tyrannical Teabaggers Arrive
Jon Holubiak has kicked the Hoochie Mamas to the curb and is not the Tyrannical Teabaggers. Don't let yourself fall asleep before Mr. Holubiak. If so, you might be making tea in your sleep. We're still waiting for three returning teams and the final expansion team.
League Over Half-Full
With the additions of the Mud Whistles and Turd Fergusson the league is now over half-full with seven of its twelve team spots secured. Chris Thurman is back with the Mud Whistles. The organization is going through a marketing transition with a new logo and team name. Ryan Corn is also back with his team, Turd Fergusson, and he's looking to win a little bit more money than he did last year.
Mr. Natalie Portman Is Back
A year older, Mr. Natalie Portman is back and still hitched. Mr. Natalie Portman will try to better his performance last year with his impressive season.
First Four Teams Registered
Three out of the four teams to register first are returning from last year. You will recognize the names 0!nkp!g$ and Running Mad. In addition to them, Randy Reynolds has been forced from the Defending Champs! team name and has opted on My Brain Hurts! instead. The league's first expansion team has also been registered. Justin Hunt was quick to get his team, Oral Master signed up. Being first gives Oral Master the first pick in the expansion draft. Head over to the teams page to see what's new.
2005 IIFFL League Registration Begins
Yahoo has finally opened up their fantasy football page for registration. All those who have been invited to play have received an email which includes instruction on how to register. The same information listed in the email is also available on the message board. Register as soon as you can. Secondary invites will be sent out in seven days.
IIFFL Message Board Usernames Changed
I have changed all our usernames from our team names to our actual names. For example, my username changed from 0!nkp!g$ to Ryan Reynolds. Your passwords were left unchanged. If you have forgot your password then let me know via the contact page and I can reset it. This change was done to make updating the message board each year easier. The way it was set up, I would have to change the usernames every year to all the new team names. Now, this will never have to be done again. Let me know if you have any problems or questions.
Registration Approaching
According to Yahoo, registration for the 2005 IIFFL season will start in June. Please register as soon as you get a chance. I will send out a notice to register when I get the league created.
Entry & Transaction Fees Raised
Fees have been raised for both entry and transactions. Entry has been raised from $25.00 to $50.00. While the transactions fee has been raised from $1.00 to $1.50. The total pot at the end of the 2005 season should be well over $1,000.00 with the new fees. Even if the transactions are slowed down from the 2004 season, the pot should reach over a grand. Save up! Details on the fees page.
Cleaned Up for 2005 Season
I took some time this morning and cleaned out all the 2004 data to make way for the upcoming season. All the information from the previous season, or seasons, will now be located in the archives section. Enjoy the offseason.
